While Cracker Barrel is a chain, this particular store and restaurant rise above their sister stores. The food was cooked perfectly and the service from Gayla was off the charts. When your in Mt. Vernon, Illinois I would highly recommend having a great meal

Store was very busy and the girls were overwhelmed. With that being said, they covered our table like Champs and always had a smile. We wanted for nothing. Their bad day in no way translated to our dinner party. In fact I thanked them and told them what a great job they were doing. I left a 20 dollar tip. Food was very good and plenty of it.
